A Monday

Today is a new day.

A fresh start.

And even though today is a Monday, I'll take it.

I've decided that I'll spend my day counting my blessings- not my problems.

I'll try to focus on everything from my recent blog post about life.

Because certainly - what I'm feeling right now will soon pass.

It's nothing major.

Nothing to worry about.

Just frustrations.

And emotions.

But I'm choosing to have a positive outlook.

And let the little things pass on by.

With that in mind, I'll leave you with this quote to start your day.

"For many of us, a day is neither bad or good. It is our attitude that seems to make it what it is. We all have days that are challenging from time to time."

Much love,
Ashley

YES!

Oh Maya, I adore you.

And in case you are wondering....

Rainy days help me appreciate the sunny days.

I've never lost my luggage. But I also keep my most important items in my carry on. Now, if I lost my favorite pair of boots forever- well kids - I might be heartbroken for a few days.

And tangled Christmas tree lights make me laugh. Mainly because Justin is the one who puts the Christmas lights on the tree.

Try to see the positive (at least you are safe + have your carry on).

Don't worry about things you can't control (rainy days).

And learn to laugh off silly frustrations (tangled Christmas tree lights).

Your sanity will thank you later.

Much love,
Ashley

Words from Warren

"You only have to do a very few things right in your life so long as you don't do too many things wrong."

Quote of the Day

"Never try to be better than someone else. Learn from others, and try to be the best you can be. Success is the by-product of that preparation."

-John Wooden

It's easy to dream of becoming like someone else. Being faster, better or stronger than them.

But at the end of the day, you're truly only competing against yourself.

Much love,
Ashley
